This tool is different from the others on this site: to generate a summary, the extracted text of your PDF is sent to a server (not stored, only processed) for AI summarization — unlike every other tool here, this one is not fully local to your browser. Don't use it for highly sensitive documents.

Why isn't this tool fully local like the others?
Generating a genuine AI summary needs a language model, which can't run privately and reliably in a browser tab today. The text is sent to a summarization API over HTTPS, processed, and returned — it is not stored or logged beyond what's needed to generate the response.
Will this work on a scanned PDF?
Not directly — scanned PDFs have no extractable text layer. Run PDF OCR first, then summarize the resulting text.
Is the contract mode a substitute for legal advice?
No. It highlights obligations, dates and unusual clauses in plain English to help you read faster — it does not replace review by a qualified lawyer for anything that matters.
