Tools / Blog / How to pull a table out of a PDF and into a real spreadsheet
Navigate to the PDF to Excel page at /pdf-to-excel/. Drag and drop your PDF or click Browse to upload. The file loads in the browser, no extra software required.
The viewer shows page thumbnails; click the page that contains the table. Use the rectangle selector to highlight the exact rows and columns you need. The tool captures the selection for conversion.
Press the Convert button; the service parses the selected area and creates an .xlsx file. When the conversion finishes, click Download to save the spreadsheet to your computer.
If numbers appear as text, use Excel’s Text‑to‑Columns feature to split them. Merged cells can be unmerged with a right‑click. Adjust column widths for better readability.
Store the file in Google Drive or your preferred cloud storage for easy access. You can now apply formulas, charts, or pivot tables to the extracted data.
